Work doesn’t have to be hard to be productive. We’ve made our conference room an easy-going, inspirational space with the privacy and tranquillity you need to work in comfort.
A Real Wonderland Glazebrook House is a truly wonderful, unique boutique hotel. Great location for striking out to Dartmouth and beyond.
It’s quirkiness makes it really special; each room is themed on Alice in Wonderland and we stayed in the Cheshire Cat room. A beautiful, large room which felt opulent but really comfortable- and the bed ... oh the bed .... like being wrapped in cashmere on top of cloud.
The bathroom with double shower and marble sinks is a venue in its own right !!
The food is all excellent and service and atmosphere is not lost by the necessary social distancing. All of the staff just want to make your stay special.
Glazebrook Hotel is a definite MUST VISIT - we will definitely be back. More
Fantastic mini stay-cation Myself and a group of friends were able to take the opportunity to book an overnight stay at this beautiful establishment. This wasn’t our first visit to The Glazebrook but the majority of us hadn’t had the pleasure of being a resident for the night. We were so lucky that the weather was on our side, as this gave us the chance to enjoy the stunning garden and explore the new garden igloos, which allow you to have a piece of The Glazebrook experience in the surroundings of the property’s elegant landscaped gardens. The staff were so attentive and friendly from the moment we arrived. My evening meal was lovely, I would highly recommend the pea panacota with crab and market fish chowder! My room (Gryphon) was fantastic, it has a unique interior design, which can be seen throughout the hotel. The bed was so comfortable! Breakfast didn’t disappoint either, lots of delicious options from continental to cooked. Our visit was just after lockdown, which meant that certain precautions had been put in place to keep the guests and staff safe. This had no negative affect on our stay, it only highlighted the staff’s dedication to provide the very best customer service, I couldn’t of faulted them. Well done everyone and thank you for an unforgettable experience! Until the next time ...... More
Absolutely wonderful We came for supper on the way from our home in Devon to a holiday over the border in Cornwall. Coming from Devon the provenance of our food is very important to us, and the locally sourced food was absolutely top notch! The service was wonderful and welcoming, and the atmosphere superb. Best of all, in the weird ‘new normal’ we felt very safe (my wife is 6 months pregnant) and everything was reassuringly smooth.
Thank you Glazebrook, we can’t wait to see you again.
Beautiful place Wow, what can I say this place exceeded all of our expectations. We found Glazebrook house last minute trying to find a hotel due to our trip to Amsterdam being cancelled. I am so glad we found it as it has got to be the best hotel we have stayed in so far and I would like to think we have stayed in a few beautiful places but this one topped them all. Firstly the hotel was absolutely magnificent, every corner turned was an excitement. The hotel is like no other I have seen. The design of the hotel is beautiful and quirky. Social distancing is adhered too and hand sanatiser is lay out throughout the hotel. Our room had the wow factor, it was absolutely stunning the bed was so comfy, our bodies sunk into it. We had his and hers showers with the added extra of underfloor heating. In the room we had a complimentary mini bar and a basket of snacks. It also had an I pad and a television with Netflix. The food was delicious and was well presented. Secondly the staff were all very friendly and happy to help. I would like to give a mention to the bar manager (sorry I didn't get your name) who made the effort to have conversations with us and made us feel extremely welcome. It was also lovely to have the owner walking around, it added a personal... Wow, what can I say this place exceeded all of our expectations.

Finally I would like to thank everyone at Glazebrook house for making our time there enjoyable it is a birthday I will remember. We will definitely be back.
To anyone thinking of booking, do it. You will not be disappointed.
Sumptuous afternoon tea We were belatedly celebrating a 50th and 80th birthday in our group of 4. We decided on an afternoon tea which we had in the restaurant (although the pods in the garden looked amazing, it was a bit chilly). I have only had one other afternoon tea in my life and that was at the Ritz Hotel in London. This experience kicked the Ritz out of the park and was half the price!! Every morsel was beautifully baked and everything from the scones, sausage roll, mini fish cake, lemon cake, eclair etc etc was so light and tasty. Gorgeous surroundings, excellent atmosphere and very friendly and attentive staff. Thank you for a lovely day. More
Post lockdown treat My partner and i stayed at glazebrook for a night when lockdown restrictions had been lifted. We were not disappointed with the service that we received, the hotel team made us feel very comfortable and safe during our stay. The room was spotless and the food Delicious! I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone... Keep up the good work and cocktails.....
Fasincating history, warm hosts, exquisite stay My partner surprised me with a stay at Glazebrook House Hotel for my birthday, and what an experience it was! From the stunning exterior of the manor, to the spectacular details on the "Alice in wonderland" theme, you'll find a whimsical surprise around every corner (igloos are a gem!). Oh the beds are to die for and the breakfast was delicious! But the highlight has to be Pieter and Fran, the hosts themselves. If you are lucky enough to catch them, they are an absolute delight to chat with. The passion, heart and soul that went into the hotel pours through, and I only wish we stayed longer so we could chat more! Would wholeheartedly recommend the wonderful property and can't wait to be back ourselves. More
£0th Wedding Anniversary Treat What a fantastic Hotel! we were greeted friendlily at reception , the decor of the hotel is beyond anything have ever experienced before, and our rooms were equally spectacular, great Mini Bar to allow a drink whilst getting ready for dinner and our evening meal was spectacular, Pea Pannacotta with Crab, followed by Confit du Cannard, great cooking and displayed perfectly. Staff were friendly and efficient, and the hotel very covid aware, all our cutlery came sealed in a bag with freshly pressed napkin, one way traffic in reception and Restaurant, loved our stay and hope to be back again soon, we stayed in the white rabbit suit, which get a big thumbs up from me, whilst my Son and his partner stayed in the Cheshire Cat Suit which they too enjoyed More
The most wonderful Wedding anniversary celebration We cannot be more delighted with the time we spent at the Glorious Glazebrook House. We were nervous about travelling and staying somewhere during COVID but we were put at ease immediately. The professionalism, cleanliness and re-assurance provided by Piete and his team.
It is the most gorgeous hotel in the world, a real dreamland and it really did feel like an escape. The decor is fascinating and beautiful, such fun. The food was incredible and very reasonable and the team really did everything possible to make this an enchanting and memorable time.
We cannot thank Piete and the Glazebrook team enough for all that they did to make this a wonderful time. The White Rabbit room was saved specially for us and it was the most remarkable room we have ever stayed in with the most comfortable bed you can imagine.
Shammy was a magician behind the bar and served us up some tea treats after our meal. We love cocktails, but these are next level, he is an expert and so charming all the while.
All we can say is that this place is magical and incredibly special. We will never forget our first anniversary here and certainly will be returning often to keep celebrating our marriage.
Thank you so much x More
Excellent two night stay The Glazebrook is a lovely unique hotel, with an interesting g collection of objet d’art scattered around the hotel. The hotel has very pretty gardens with Igloo pods that make great options for afternoon tea. Our room the White Rabbit had an enormous ‘teddy’ bed and a wonderful marble bathroom. Every thing you might need has been provided for you in the rooms from the complementary stocked mini fridge (nice touch) to the fully stocked tea & coffee options. The room has pre-set lighting options and was very spacious. We had two excellent breakfasts (no buffet due to Covid restrictions) but a cake stand of pastries, yoghurt & fruit was provided instead as well as a cooked breakfast. We booked dinner for the two nights of our stay and it was excellent. The Crab & Pea Pannacotta was particularly good. The well travelled owner Pieter was really helpful with suggestions of places to visit locally and has chosen some talented staff, particularly his barman and chefs.
It is a challenging time running a business making your hotel welcome whilst at the same time keeping guests safe and socially distanced. Pieter and his team managed it really well. More
